EA5URV CVC-183 Y CVC-184 D.M.E. 12033 CABANES CASTELLÓN

El municipio de Cabanes cuenta con la presencia en sus costas de cuatro torres vigías, las cuales se construyeron durante el siglo XV para avisar y proteger a los pobladores de los alrededores de los frecuentes ataques berberiscos. El nombre de estas torres es: Torre Carmelet, Torre la Sal, Torre dels Gats y Torre del Carmen. Todas ellas poseen características similares, siendo de planta cuadrada, con tres plantas y garitas defensivas.

The municipality of Cabanes has four watchtowers on its coasts, which were built during the 15th century to warn and protect the surrounding residents from frequent Berber attacks. The name of these towers is: Torre Carmelet, Torre la Sal, Torre dels Gats and Torre del Carmen. All of them have similar characteristics, being square in plan, with three floors and defensive sentry boxes.
 
El pasado día 18/08/2023, se procedió a la activación por parte de U.R.E. Valencia por los socios EA5GQP y EA5FDW de las siguientes referencias. Para castillos de la Comunidad Valenciana CVC-183 W.C.A. EA-01705 Torre dels Gats y CVC-184 W.C.A. EA-01706, ambas con el D.M.E. 12033 Cabanes Castellón y Comarca de la Comunidad Valenciana CS-005 La Plana Alta. situándonos con el coche entre medio de las dos torres (es decir a unos 100 mts aprox. de cada una de ellas). Se utilizó un Yaesu FT-450D y antena doble bazooka para 40 metros y dipolo para 20 metros las bandas que trabajamos con un total de 289 qso´s . Como siempre hacemos, todas las referencias, se os validaran para los diferentes diplomas y los contactos se os confirmaran a tod@s por E-qsl y ya después del verano, prepararemos las qsl´s físicas para los que nos la solicitéis directa (con SASE) y a los que pertenecéis al Buro de Ure. As we always do, all the references will be validated for the different diplomas and the contacts will be confirmed to all of you by E-qsl and after the summer, we will prepare the physical qsl’s for those who request it directly (with SASE) and those of you who belong to the Bureau of Ure.
